Wilfred Limonious was a prolific Jamaican illustrator and designer. He is known as the father of dancehall art. He began his professional career in 1970 illustrating comincs for The Star newspaper. Afterwards, he made an impact in his community when he worked for Jamaicas national literacy program.
Of course, Wilfred Limonious’ created his most memorable work for the Jamaican music scene during the 1980s and 1980s. Power House, Studio One, Techniques, Jammy’s, Midnight Rock, Scar Face Music, Dennis Star and many more used Limonious’ work for album jackets and record label logos.
