Kehlani Shows Up With Love to WareHouse Live
I’m not going to lie to y’all, this was my first encounter with Kehlani period. I wasn’t aware she was on tour at the time until my boss man Adrian Sanchez let me know that we receive show tickets from time to time. We get them through the partnership we have with our local concert promoting company Scoremore.
The Oakland, California native rocked the show though to keep it 100. Her fans also ride hard for her, they knew pretty much all of the words to each joint she played. She took a minute to get on stage but people didn’t mind waiting and that was dope to witness. Not dope for me and my feet but you get the point. She started off the show with a few hits from her “SWEETSEXYSAVAGE” album, then took it back to some old songs just to see if she had some day 1’s in the building. She did.
Between sets she took the time to voice her opinion on a myriad of things, the LGBTQ community and her support for them, handling life’s downfalls, and even her donating efforts for women’s shelters as she’s been on tour. Each city she heads to she tries to get her fans hip to opening their eyes and helping the community that surrounds them. Which for me, was the dopest part of her show! I enjoyed it Kehlani. If you’re reading this, it’s too late, I’m already a fan.
Peace.
