Kobe AD DeRozan Releasing Soon!
The Kobe brand is set to drop the KOBE AD DEROZAN PE on April 13th. Toronto Raptor DeMar DeRozan’s memory of a 1997 playoff game is what inspired the design of the shoe. In this game, Kobe did not live up to his expectations. This inspired DeRozan because he learned that even through difficulty; hard work can lead to greatness.
This pair of shoes includes a unique lace, which has the date of the game. In addition, on the sockliner there is a photo of the Compton street that DeRozan calls home.
In 997, the Utah Jazz used an orange, purple, and green color pallete. Details such as the Kobe logo, DNA symbol, and signature follow these colors as well, in honor of the 1997 playoff game opponent.
