LeBron James and Nike Work Together to Bring PE’s Available for Purchase
For a long time, great athletes worked in conjunction with brands like Nike to create amazing signature lines of basketball sneakers. Some that hit shelves and some that won’t. Those that don’t are more likely to be what are dubbed “player editions”.
Player Edition sneakers are silhouettes of colorway sets that are generally only available to the athlete himself. Making it practically impossible for the general public to get their hands on them. Until now… Nike has come together to bring the public the LeBron Watch Program that launched this past Tuesday. This will allow for LJ to pick a series of sneaker colorways to wear on game-day and as soon as he steps onto the court, the shoe selected will become available upon the Nike SNKRS app.
“When I was a kid, the athletes and the shoes represented in this series inspired me to chase my dream of one day becoming a professional athlete,” says James. “It’s important to me to share these stories and inspiration with my fans. I want them to be a part of every step of my journey, so I’m excited we’re making these shoes available to them.”
