New Balance x Ronnie Fieg
October 21st will be the release date for the New Balance x Ronnie Fieg Mykonos 997.5 collection. Ronnie Fieg is the first person to collaborate on the Made in the USA 997.5 silo. The Cyclades and the Archipelago will be the two models of the collection. Both models are set to retail for $240 USD.
The Cyclades were influenced by a trip to a resort in Mykonos, Greece taken by Fieg. The insole of the shoe is custom-printed from a picture that Ronnie had taken on his trip. The orange forefoot represents the umbrellas. The beige/khaki midfoot symbolizes the soft sand. The green found on the heel resembles the waters of the Aegean Sea. The uppers are pigskin suede with 3M panels. The midsole unit is underneath the panels in white.
Archipelago follows the theme with a blue color scheme mirroring the Aegean Sea. The uppers are also suede pigskin with a deep-ocean blue hue. The N logos are asymmetrical. The Archipelago has also 3M paneling with a white midsole unit.
Mykonos 997.5 come with custom packaging, it includes 5 sets of laces, a pair of Kith x Stance Mykonos Fusion Ankle Socks. However, the Cyclades and Archipelago models will release Friday, October 21st exclusively at Kith for $240 USD.
