Nike Unveils New NBA Jersey Designs For the 2017-18 Season
The time has come. “SWITCH!”, yells the NBA. Time for a new partner. Since the first announcement was made in 2015, Nike has been working to create a unique method for the NBA to approach jerseys going forward. We’ve gone through numerous additions and alterations, from sleeves on jerseys… yes I said that right, sleeves on jerseys to heat and sweat map technology in the stitching.
Nike, in conjunction with the league have agreed to ditch the concept of “home” and “away” jerseys. Each team will be provided 4 jersey options. As you can see below, the options include: The Association, The Icon, The Athlete’s Mindset, and The Community. The Association edition will be the traditional white jersey teams have. While the Icon represents the heritage each franchise possesses. The two other jersey editions will be revealed as the season draws near.
