Nike VaporMax x Comme des Garcons
Nike x Comme de Garcons, a Japanese fashion label, teamed up to create a new shoe with advanced technology. The Nike VaporMax for Comme des Garcons was first introduced at the CDG Paris SP17 collection runway store.
Rei Kawakubo, the Japanese designer for Comme des Garcons, distinctive modernism was a good fit with Nike’s interpretation of Air. Previous Air editions required a second ruber layer for protection, however, the new tech used to create the VaporMax does not require it. This new breakthrough helps create a visual of actually walking on air. Nike Flyknit was modified to create a slip-on version of the VaporMax, which reflected Kawakubo.
The toe to heel of the shoe is transparent and glossy with air bubbles inside the entire sole. The futuristic shoe comes in two colorways: the classic black and white pair.
You will be able to get these sneakers early 2017; specific date and price have yet to be announced.
