Packer x ASICS Tiger x New Era Scary Cold Collab Derived from Seinfeld
The soon to be released Packer x Asics Tiger x New Era Scary Cold Collab derived from Seinfeld! Anyone who avidly watches Seinfeld can recall when George Costanza wore a Gore-Tex jacket during a “scary cold” episode.
The special collaboration between Packer, ASICS Tiger, and New Era proves the scary cold can be combated with the right kicks and Gore-Tex. The photography memorializes the jacket Costanza wore. These kicks would have been perfect for him in NYC weather!
In the episode that inspired this collection Seinfeld and Elaine were questioning the definition of the term “scary cold” when suddenly George walked in with the hilariously ginormous jacket. All jokes aside, the Gore-Tex brand is known for its magnificent ability to keep consumers warm, dry, and protected from all the elements.
Premium black leather and rusty tan suede are present in the GEL-Lyte V GTX. The Gore-Tex material lining is a essential feature of this shoe. In addition, there are boot-inspires metal d-ring lace rivets and a layer of ballistic mesh behind the asymmetrical medial logo stripes.
Two Gore-Tex equipped New Era fitted hats are also part of the collection. One hat features the Gore-Tex logo in simply bold gold lettering. The other is a classic navy Yankees cap that salutes Costanza’s “Assistant to the Traveling Secretary” position with the Yankees.
The Packer “Scary Cold” collection will be available at 12 noon EST Saturday, January 28th, at Packer locations and online. The shoes are $170 while the hats are $60 each.
