Vans: Year of the Rooster Collection
Vans is celebrating the next Chinese New Year, the Year of the Rooster. The collection consists of 6 sils and 6 different designs. The Year of the Rooster collection will be have a limited edition release on December 16th. However, another release will be on the 20th.
The renowned skateboarding brand has called in Kim Kiroic, a Shanghai-based designer to participate in the Rooster collection. The collection has a theme; nude colors of an unhatched egg, soft baby chick fuzz, tail colors of a mature bird. Therefore, the sils all signify the life cycle of a rooster.
As a result, the collection has a theme the YOTR Old Skool has the colorway of an unhatched egg. The dawn colored shoes are made of textured faux leather. Authentic Platforms are made with yellow fuzz and have yellow silk laces. The Slip-On has colorful fringe to mimic the tail of a rooster. It seems like, the other three sils are just as vivid and textured as much as the others.
The YOTR will be released on December 16th and December 20th.
