Y-3 and James Harden Release a Capsule Over All-Star Weekend
Adidas’ 747 Warehouse location in Los Angeles was really busy this weekend. Hosting Kid Cudi and Kanye West performances, sneaker releases, and James Harden inspired Y-3 capsule.
Over the NBA All-Star Weekend, so many sneakers dropped, that some release news can get overshadowed.
The emphasis of the collection is the Botan flower, spotted on clothing, socks, and the Y-3 BYW basketball shoe. Dubbed as the “King of the Flowers,” the Botan is a symbol of “bravery, nobility, honor, respect, and good fortune,” which are characteristics that outline Harden on and off the court.
The clothing includes blacked out silhouettes that are complimented with the Botan flower to bring color into the outfits. This includes an oversized bomber, crew sweatshirt, tailored shirt, and cropped pants.
Y-3 and James Harden’s capsule was pre-launched on February 16 and February 17 at adidas’s 747 Warehouse St in Los Angeles. A global release is now being expected for sometime in April.
