Brooks Heritage x FairPlay Create the Battle of Los Angeles Shoe

Brooks Heritage and FairPlay came together to create the Battle of Los Angeles shoe. This shoe release celebrates the 75th anniversary of the alien invasion conspiracy theory known as “The Great Los Angeles Air Raid.”

While WWII was in effect, an unidentified object floated across the night sky in Los Angeles. Many believed it to be an enemy aircraft, which led to an artillery barrage. After the incident, officials called the event a false alarm and identified a weather balloon and “war nerves” as the causes for the shooting. However, conspiracy theorists believe it was an extraterrestrial spacecraft.

The Brooks Heritage x FairPlay collaboration commemorates that night with an all-black upper. Additionally, the pigskin suede upper is accompanied by 3M reflective detailing which represents UFOs against the night sky. The speckled midsole symbolizes the sparks of gunfire. Finally, an ice outsole finishes off the shoe and reveals the FairPlay logo in the forefoot.
