H-Town Sneaker Summit Summer Returned to Bayou City Event Center
Were you at this years summer H-Town Sneaker Summit? If so we hope you had a blast and came up on some fresh kicks and/ or sold your goods. Every booth and table was sold out and people were contanly coming through the door.
The attendees ranged from young kids, adults and even some grandparents. Our event is family oriented and we want everyone to enjoy the summit.
We had a line up of fun games for our guest. One game entailed blindfolding the players and having them feel the shoe and guess it.
Another was looking at multiple outlines and guessing which shoe was which. All the contestants for the Monset Mili Rock challenge did a great job trying to show off their best moves.
My favorite game was the shoe cleaning competion. The players had 60 seconds to clean grape jelly of AF1s with Crep Cleaning supplies. It was hilarious watching them try their best to clean quickly.
This year we started something new with rising Youtube sensations. BoostGod, Paul Cantu and SHB Views showed up and showed out at this years summit. They sold their merch, met fans and were interviewed by our friend George Kiel, Co-fonder of Kiel Colen Cancer. Our friend RetroSneakers, sneaker restoring extraordinaire, came buy and got interviewed as well.
As usual the famous Texas Rappers Bun B and Slim-Thug were in the building showing their support. We hope fans had a chance to stop by the famous H-Town rappers booths to get merch and meet them. We also ran into up and coming rappers Trill Sammy an Sauce Walka at the show. Our blogger Terrence had the chance to interview the hyped up Sauce Waulka.
Of course, the DJs kept the party going with their super hype sets. DJ Shante, DJ Dayta, DJ Squincy Jones, DJ Mr. Rogers, DJ Good Grief, DJ Rapid Rick, our host Tito and MC Oakcliff made sure that the enviornment was as lit as ever.
Let us not forget about the amazing grub at the food trucks. My favorite was the delicious topping filled hot dogs. If you did not have time to taste the delicious food you defintly missed out. We hope you can try them out next time!
If you were there we hope you stopped by the Topo Chico booth to cool off with their free drinks. Of course we had the Crep Protect Crew out there cleaning kicks. We wanted everyone to show off their clean sneakers.
Terrence Whaley, Sneaker Summit’s editor describes his first time experience as exhilarating. He stated, “If you’ve come to trade or buy a certain shoe you’ll definitely have fun scavenging for that perfect transaction. If you work for summit you’ll be sweating but having fun all at the same time running the show. If you’re a celebrity, you’re basking in the fun of just finding more stuff to buy!”
The entire Sneaker Summit team put in tireless hours to make sure this was an amazing experience for both the vendors and the attendees.
It is crazy to think that all of the planning, organizing and set up is now past us. Make sure to keep an eye out for our next scheduled Winter Sneaker Summit taking place on December 3rd.
Enjoy
